Spent my morning meditation time sifting scraps in preparation for #sewthescrapoutofmarch. Thinking I shouldn’t have given Mom the giant glass bowl back because I’m likely to have more of these slender bits during the challenge and they sure look pretty until I decide what to create with them.
An intuitive spirit bowl soon heading to its new home. The deep black is a departure for me but these colors, forms and symbols wanted to emerge for some deep heart chakra healing and light in the darkness. It’s busier than my other spirit bowls to date but somehow very soothing and calm. A true joy to create.
Had so much fun creating this offering for the #tradealittleluckswap - ready to mail just waiting on confirmation and address from @theguildedneedle that my partner’s ready. Inspiration mosaic for my #tqs_secretcolourquiltswap2021 partner. I chose blues and intend to use your creative offering in my livingroom revamp so have photos of the actual items in the room for color and pattern inspiration. Also some half-square triangle patterns I adore. As you can see I like busy and texture and pattern oh my! and I’m going to adore whatever blue magic you add to my evolving livingroom space. There are lots of touches of black, white, gold and chocolate cherry wood in the space. Elephants are a spirit animal for me and I adore a worldly ethnic boho kinda vibe. Sometimes I forget to clean up, but that’s okay. Messes are pretty.
My friend Jude showcasing the paper bowl I swapped with her for some marvelous woolen knits for my son. So much fun seeing how people choose to share their bliss bowls. This spiral delight was hand built from paper scraps, and scrap fabrics then accented with acrylics and varnished.
